Crystals In the snow (Free verse) by feathers68
There is a sparkling shimmering light, that flickers in the snow, Tiny little diamonds glisten in the morning light. Maybe they were put there to shine upon our lives, to remind us of the beauty resting at our feet. Like Crystals in the snow, or maybe they are flecks of angels wings!

Up the ladder: No future
Down the ladder: affection wasted

huh. I like.... the syllabic flow. it seems perfect. but I'd like a tad more rhyme, a hint other than the chopping of lines, the addition of commas where they wouldn't belong in prose, and use of imagery that this is poetry.

the statement/thought is cute, though.
