Exiting Shadows (Free verse) by Caducus
In Shadows, only those awake forever survive.
You consider forever after death is a long time to be alive.
Feathers fall and ignite an inch beyond the flame,
Demons call as Angels fall,
Shadow and light becomes the same.
In shadows sleep could endanger your soul.
Sometimes the weak succumb to a stranger,
And once they trust demons with aura's,
Possesion takes control,
In a chorus of glorious choirs that strip your flesh in fires,
In shadows of Angels demons are liars,
That prey on humans couting stigmata.
Death comes to all messiahs,
I escaped hell by watching atrocities,
Numb to the pain of screams,
And because I never slept,
My soul was kept burning alive in the furnace of dreams.
