Could You Know? (Free verse) by vamos_tuzos
Never satisfied with simple words and phrases Desperately seeking any form of expression That achieves some amount of understanding Of complex emotions and sentiments. Between the lines of the mind And amongst the choruses of love That are sung by the countless suitors How are you to know mine surpass all? If I were to tell you how I feel, Could you see my eyes And understand my soul? Looking past the subtleties of human nature Beyond the requirements of communication And the limitations of our comprehension Would you know me without the words I speak? Could you listen to how I feel And return the favour To echo such doubts and security Of unsatisfactory devices To declare the undying love Past through ages and through time Through distances insurmountable physically But so miniscule within? Could you know that I love you Without saying a word?

Up the ladder: Jesus was a necromancer
Down the ladder: My Gift to You
