Lost (Free verse) by Jsylum
Lost! The fair sun shone but now not fair Night has dawned in sorrow in despair I roam alone, have no home, restless everywhere. Lost in the lisping wind lost by the sighing sea lost, oh lost in sin lost in time and lost in thee lost my Love, to above Lost my soul to eternity. Storm and thunder torn asunder torn my mind apart Let Pity tie together Life, to my lover's heart. Let me feel, he is real through the ages in the Arts. Call him, call him! He will, if he can, respond The seas now surge and swim Over him - but he's not gone! Though asleep, in the deep nothing will break the bond. Who will answer? I hear no voice Answer, Answer! Has he no choice? Speak to me, violently bring back all that death destroys. But who is listening? Above, beyond, below Who hears me calling, calling, whispering high and low: "Lost! Lost amid the frost the cold, and the fading snow"?

Up the ladder: Are you my love?
Down the ladder: Their Eyes

the material doesn't interest me much, but the tone and rhythm are compelling, and the word choice poignant. :) heh. i said poignant. ;) but seriously, very cool. :)

Hurt! I cannot rip out the hearts of those who hurt you. I cannot give you their severed heads! But! I can squeeze them for every dime they're worth. Every single dime! I'm Jim 'The HAMMER' Shapiro! You call! I HAMMER!
