cake (Free verse) by roses are read
playing with my barbies... getting dirt in my dry swim suit. foot/foot; hand/hand; foot/foot. i leave cartwheel prints in the sand: the frosting on your cake. the buttercream roses are. suffocating me as i fall, so i dress myself in them, and hide under the bride's skirt. the frosting stains my skin sweet.

Up the ladder: The beggar in me
Down the ladder: No Reason
