Antiquity (Free verse) by Andre
Mystic temples far from here Cryptic colors and hieroglyphs unknown Of your mind and soul divide Us and worlds of remote venture But to view the walls you have Is like to look in your eyes And see the ancient fires That warmed passions love of old The freshness of flora and sweet wet wind Is the waft of closeness of you I scent? Clear crystal waters from pristine skies Is pure and quenches like kisses from you Quiet darkness of night fills the head And sundowns the restless soul For you I wait, and toss in sleep Til morning smile wakes me with your light.

Up the ladder: stifled
Down the ladder: Morning on Galapados
