The Secret (Free verse) by nentwined
There are no adults.
That's why we made gods.
Governments.
Lawyers.
Childhood bullies
learning consensual rules.
Mostly not knowing
that
they're just rules.
Rules, like in any other game.
Not laws.
Nothing is
certain
but death.
And even then --
who knows?
