The Trail (Free verse) by ThoughtfulSoul I have been wondering for so long.
I can't seem to escape the darkness
that follows swiftly behind me
I make snap decisions on which way to go
but still they follow relentlessly like savages
after their pray
I'm tired and I have lost all will to care if they...
but just then a trail opens and its bright light seems to
beckon for my arrival, so I go.
Just as I am walking through the trail it closes and I am enveloped
by the light that has now faded into what I feared the most and it
now seems my salvation has turned out to be my downfall.
It seems no one can trust what they see at first

is this finished? its not a poem and as a piece of literature its woefully uninspiring.
Keep on writing though, you can do it
Too many words, too little content.
