The Heros (Free verse) by madjack2
We are the heros, The champions of fate, Down to the marrow, We do not give in to hate. We are the protectors, The keepers of hope, Fighting the destroyers, Helping men to cope. We are the kings, First born sons of man, Holding together the rings, Keeping peace where we can. The time has com, To lay all on the line, All else we will shun, None will be left behind. For peace and love We have walked many roads, Blessed by heaven above, Down the many paths we've strode. We are the champions, In twilights breath, We are the heros, Until the world's death.

Up the ladder: You'll Never Hear
Down the ladder: Midnight Madness

sounds like you have a highlander nype thing in mind. Or else I've compeltely missed the reference. One spelling error "com". The wording is pretty rich, but the reference is vague.

somehow all my mind will wrap around is this picture of heavy metal mayhem, screaming guitars and thumping bass, the pounding of drums powerful in a flash of bright against the stormy sky... go figure?...

I would tell you to work on this a little more. I have a feeling that with some polishing and a few changes in word choice it could be a better piece. The formating is all jumbled. I would like to see 'stronger' language, since this is about strength, heroes, and such.
