A dutch poem (just a joke) (Free verse) by susie
Wat ik met jou wil beleven, niet voor lang maar voor heel even is dieper dan het diepste dal wat ik met jou beleven zal

Up the ladder: Friends Beyond the Storm
Down the ladder: Infatuation

I'll guess that you deserve a 10; but, alas, I don't speak/read/write Dutch. Seems to rhyme. Methinks this the first completely foreign language poem on this site. I'll have to cook up one in German. Isn't Dutch just English and German thrown together?

This poem was some sort of school project you hadto make a poem that had 4 sentences and that rhymes at -even and -al. But it sucks.
Dutch does look a lot like German, 'caus the are both Germanic languages. But I think English is more like French, Italian and Latin. Dutch has taken over some words from english but it is a whole different language.

It's not the first complete foreign language poem here -- there's a Spanish one floating about somewhere. And at some point I will put up some of my french stuff, by special request. English has a great many ressemblances to German; the French impact on it is mainly in the words. Modern English is, after all, a mix of the Saxons language, which was Germanic/Nordic, and the French that the Normans brought with them when they took over the lovely isle back in 1066.
