Friends Beyond the Storm (Free verse) by loneshadow29
Storms rage over once still waters The ship known as my life Lost in the sea of turmoil Dark clouds of sorrow Drowning out the sun With nothing to guide me knowing I will drift endless through this hell I fall to my knees, defeat in my heart Until a flash in the distance Like lightning crashing down I see it clear as purest crystal A beacon light shining in the distance I can feel the warmth of its beautiful rays Reaching out for me, beckoning me home My eyes bright as shining stars Knowing who calls out to me I turn hard into the storm determined to reach my port of call I whisper, hoping the wind Will carry my message to you "thank you my dearest friends for helping me find my way" the storm becoming more fierce but still I do not wane for I wish to see them again my wonderful friends my course plotted in I sail hard into the dreaded night I'm finally returning home To where my friends wait for me Where my happiness will flourish once again

Up the ladder: health cards
Down the ladder: A dutch poem (just a joke)

Blah blah blah blah -- what is more cliched that storms, harbours, beacons? Have you no imagination?

thanks for the comment and I'm sorry you feel that way. And to answer your question, yes, I do have an imagination last time I checked. When I wrote this, I was going through so much, like a storm in my heart and mind, and my friends guided me back, like a beacon... just thought you should know... I hate for people for assuming something without knowing the full story... Thank you :o)

I feel this poem was well written, and I know the feeling, I can definitly relate to the message you are trying to get across.
