Creep into my heart This mystical whisper of the swaying beat of rolling drums Is this my heart beating My eyes seeing am I the sea or a single wave perhaps a single drop in my heart I am moving to the sound of your eyes the movement of the eyebrows frozen in a moment of time in an etched memory confusion delusion an unbeating heart vibrating strings of an old instrument tighten loosen turn and twist My hands on my eyes so I could not see what my eyes hear in myself I must see within myself

When drums are rolling, they have no beat. It's a single wave of sound.
