I Didn't Know (Free verse) by Bonehiss
I didn't know, The end would come so soon, And things would be so tough. I didn't know, How far I'd gone for nothing, All I had was not enough. I didn't know, How to make you happy, Or the way to win your heart. I didn't know, It was even possible, To be so wrong, Right from the start. I didn't know, I could feel so empty, So lost without a clue, Until I finally realized, I didn't know, You.

Good non-cheesy rhymes, crisp rhythms, a snappy ending - good.
