Worth the wait (Free verse) by INTRANSIT
I have unloaded my cars,
leaning on a post I wait
for someone to check them
in.
A mother passes me,
carrying her son, and
six feet behind her
a small, denim jacketed,
pink leg warmed, white
tennis shoed,
blue bereted little girl
follows.
A singular high white
balloon carries her
with teddy bear in arm.
I find myself jealous.
