Holly (Free verse) by wlshepherd
She came out of the forest With leaves in her hands, And twigs in her hair. I tried to take them out But they were caught, Snagged, stuck, The spines and rips Holding onto her fast. She kept asking me to stop, But who was I to stop? She went into the forest With leaves and twigs, And her hands in her hair.

Up the ladder: The Long Walk Back
