Little wishing well (Free verse) by gadget
I wish I had a heart of gold, Although I do, my friends have told. I wish I did not build walls around my heart, Feels more like bricks falling apart. I wish I had a love that was real, An honest man with true heart appeal. I wish I had a true love that would last, Unfortunately it seems this time has past. I wish for someone that is similar to me, Someone that cares or knows when to let me be. I wish for a life that is in reality great, Instead of the path that seems to be a mistake. I wish that certain days were not so bad, Those one days seem to leave me feeling sad. I wish for sunshine, rainbows, and happiness, Nevertheless I get further into yet another mess. I wish for so many things throughout life, However it seems to bring me heartache and strife. I wish that things around me would fall into place, Though I just got to keep a smile on my face. I wish, I wish and wish some more, Just waiting to see what comes through the door. I wish I did not have to wish all these things, But I have to wait and see what life brings.

Up the ladder: Shut Out
Down the ladder: Mendacity

Repetetive. A good start, you can do better. Don't say it. FEEL it!
