Unpleasant Morning (Free verse) by liljsmith87
Got up this morning, Kicked the cat, It hissed at me, And then it scratched The back of ma leg, Then looked like an egg Which became red, Went to the hospital if not Id be dead. On the way home we hit the ditch, Momma yelled bitch. And it gave me a twitch, That caused a nerve in ma head, To go totally haywire, So we went back to the hospital At which I admire. For kicking the cat, Which gave me the scratch, Which started this shit, and caused all that. (this was just for fun, i can do better)

Check this out!!! Find "Mother goose" at the library. You're looking for "a crooked sixpence"
It was my favorite when I was little.I'm 35 and still can repeat it from memory. That was fun.7

When I first saw this, for a second I thought it said 'Got up this morning,/Killed the cat...' It might be even funnier if you wrote a poem starting like that.
