one childless girl (Free verse) by mallory180
I can see the anguish as she twist and turns Never settled, always moving in a motionless form Nothing controls her, her rage so strong, so passionate The pain that life brings her, so cruel, so unfair The tormented soul of a childless girl A child robbed of her happiness but given much hatred The years now behind her, but she cannot forget The pain and horror engraved in her heart Of the years in the house shared with the man and his belt No bruising or scars are to be left for the eye to see Only the pain left decaying inside her can be seen If you look very close and look very deep, you see a childless girl

Up the ladder: *I am me*
Down the ladder: Curious
