Game Over (Free verse) by nentwined
If you do everything correctly everything just so you will die. Context determines when a twist of the pliers is torture, metaphor or hyperbole. Blood in your mouth a reminder of life and death A piece of you torn away and stitched together. Same as every moment any moment constantly reborn.

Up the ladder: Dancing for dinner
Down the ladder: Shoe Thief

Dismal take on life. Everything ends in death. btw, a twist of the pliers fixed me faucet, and a piece of me torn away saved my life. I too have looked at it both ways.

last stanza not necessary, trying to be too broad. stick with the image and stop where it stops.
