Hey (Free verse) by impert&ent
Retracing some steps Wandering some forgotten lines of thought Turning some corners in a disused hall of memories The sun has set I've got the light on But it's not exactly illuminated in here So I traipse around the hallucinations of mind and internet Looking for some bright spot Some invitation in that fading light

Up the ladder: Pause
Down the ladder: A sky not our own

When lit only by a fading memory, it's the sleeping neurons that require enlight-&-ment.
