Lachrymalia (Lyric) by Lain
There are ruins deep inside me Of what I can't become, That fire in your eyes Like the fire of the sun. Darker than my passion, Darker than my lust, I feel you burn inside me Like a fever from your touch. You're the phoenix of my ashes, This renaissance of dust. I cannot breathe without this, But it hurts you just as much.

Up the ladder: Common ground.
Down the ladder: At The Gas Station

Does the title have meaning? I suppose I could do a google search. Hmm. Maybe for lyric poetry I should add a comments from the author field... so you can explain what sort of tune it would be going to... hrm.

just had to reiterate that I love the flow of this poem -- very lyric, I can see it working for slow and sweet to hard and heavy, or just about anything inbetween (other than 80's silliness, I think).

10 points just for the title!
(I was beginning to think us big-worders were a dying species)

What does Lacrymalia mean? Something to do with tear ducts? An explanation would help clarify. Very nice imagery, but a bit vague.

I'm not a fan of rhymn. i am a fan of -this renaissance of dust. don't you think the title too clinical for this piece?

This poem is all over the place. A "renaissance of dust", if you will? 7.
