Counting (Free verse) by Dovina
I can count from nothing to something from words like zero and absence to baby, life, and grave I imagine counting with words like couple, marriage, divorce and maybe someday will even children count higher than this do it in Spanish, urdu and French bigger words with higher learning useful words for science and selling counting words obey some rules rules we can discover, but never invent which makes counting seem unique a swarm of busy words all interact predictably never evolve or disappear never change their meanings foreseeable, useful, faithful I trust them build with them think them part of here and now and all the time I’ve never got From number one to two

I think "grave" is out of place (even though I'm sure you intended that, I think it's the wrong out of place, at that point?)

It's a lot of fun, a good one, but I want to trim it, slightly, find it a cadence (or a different one).

Like.
