Stifled (Free verse) by wordsphincter
Silence from here on in Ive chosen to stifle my words Tears no longer forced to stream I am alone Reaching for his sacrafice Promises of a comfort never lost Abiding by his whispers Muted whispers Only to retain A faint sense of urgency I feel a lack My blood flows cold once again A warmth never to be returned To my rigid cries I can but plea with my own mind Be it of no consequence To my rageful heart Eyes too dark to see What lies beyond this Wrath of the gods Upon my stolen lips A kiss, nocturnal companion Courts your eyes may never grasp

Up the ladder: dps 2 - new ver.
Down the ladder: The Cross Foxes

What are stolen lips? Give them back. The last line makes no sense - your eyes may never grasp courts? the nocturnal companion courts something that the eys will enver grasp? I've never seen eyes grasping anything anyway - yeuurch.

Hi Word. I think he/she is trying to create an image of eyes receiving and comprehending(grasping) the image of the courts. It's kinda like my use of the words abhor and accrue in my now deleted "Wandering thoughts".
