We - Who Work (Free verse) by Skamper
green hangs another way while hard hats lay on booted heels - that tap on smoke butts awaiting wheels hand for life – waved drama over-played clapping skies lift circle past to swing (foot-stomp) shift each face split grinning spit awake and singing coughing ruptures I stand with them dodging vultures a line of cars comes to pass boots and shoes join the cue my life - I choose

Up the ladder: I've thought a lot
