ONLY POETRY IS FOREVER (Free verse) by daggatolar
Heed the cry of my bones Hang them out of my rot flesh A new life of me? Only poetry is forever Even life in Heaven Is a done dream gone Outside the letters of words The imagination can imagine Sceneries is sightless silence Like Death waiting Not panting out a sigh To outside me off me And outside of me Is poetry… of me Not me Dry my bones Hang them out of my rot flesh This is no new life of me Only poetry is forever Outside of heaven Outside of death

Down the ladder: Lazy Pindaric Ode Blues

Poetry is certainly NOT forever. It is temporary, like the words and images imployed in its form. Meanings distort and crumble with time, fading like a cracked picture, till most no longer even remember...

Then it Dies, and another poet makes a new structure.
