Easter should be closer to Christmas (Free verse) by MacFrantic
Darling drums play birch wood babies. Rabbits shield their eyes. Matter spills as March swoons. Green surges; we'll be complex for the station of Spring. Hope's a bitter chord and spell unspoken. Shadow breath wilts flowers sprung from sun seeds and metal rain.

Down the ladder: mountain creek

How does a drum play? And what does it matter what day Easter and Christmas are on? Some provocative unintelligible lines here.
