cold war (Free verse) by Dental Panic
gravity expressed itself in its most lyrical form and before the gutter could suck it all up they showed up in the hood: snowman makers carrying shovels & spades & portable phones & within half a day or so next to every pole there rose a blind white giant with a stonecold grin waiting for its picture to be taken – a perfect target for the snowball insurgents: a massacre! even though a few stood their ground for quite a while

Up the ladder: Jerusalem the Golden
Down the ladder: Game Over

I think you could stay with the analogy through the last line. Don't give it to us. I got it right away. Nice poem.

You're right. No need to rub it in. I'll drop the last line.

Interesting comment regarding the "conveyor belt." The warming of the earth causing the breakdown of these natural currents which, paradoxically, leads to an overall cooling event. Kind of damned if you do and damned if you don't. Regardless, we are in big trouble with little or no acknowledgement by our president and the multi-national corporations which are in control. Profit at any price and damn the coonsequences mentality. Go Gore! Oh, almost forgot. Great poem.
