Life : Paradox (Free verse) by amateurR
Life: so profound yet so simple Takes a lifetime to understand, Can be explained in one word. Life: so strong yet so fragile Causes one to believe in miracles Can make one lose faith in everything Life: so our own yet so not Makes us follow our heart Can break a million hearts Life: so insignificant yet so effective Becomes but a number for some Leaves another life changed Life: so short yet never ceases to exist The end is uncertain, almost always too soon But is lived through love left behind.

Up the ladder: A mountain song

Why would you delete my sage words? were they not worthy? I spent many a precious second whittling then from the bones of my lately deceased uncle Diarmuid. God rest his soul. His life was filled with the dark black goodness and an occasional tootle pon the whistle of merryment(stop your filthy thoughts). How i hated him so. If you had written this dirge a moment sooner i could have read it at his wake, but he might have with sheer exasperation at the triteness embodied in my carefully chosen homily

Very thoughtful and expressive. I think life takes many lifetimes to understand. Many times I wish our short life were only an experience to learn from and we had another chance.. to live with the benefit of hindsight. There are so many many things to understand and judge correctly. I like the last line. Very good conclusion.
