A Trebuchet for Dreams (Free verse) by D. $ Fontera
Launch me into position Way up among the satellites High above the atmosphere Throw me upwards to heaven And I will be a meteor A red-hot lightning bolt Collected from the stars Just catch me when I fall Or I will bury you in fantasy And strike you down in ecstacy Find that trebuchet for dreams And I will not delay The sky is calling my name Oh what sweet deliverance To look down on taller men With my feet off the ground But space is no place for me I will marvel at its serenity And here is where I care to be I hope for dreams impossibly

Up the ladder: Darkness Has Fallen
Down the ladder: Two Roses in a Jar
