The Battle (Free verse) by Birdman42s
The Battle I feel his presence dwelling within, His heart filled with hatred, his mind filled with sin. He is waiting for his turn, his time to begin, He is as brutal as a cyclone, as dry as gin. He begs to be let out, tormenting from under my skin, Taunting as he tells me "this time, let the games begin" But for now all he could do is grin. but sooner or later he will win. DLB

Because you did not like the poem gives you no right to slate the workings of another. comment, but don't lose it. this style is appreciated by some, but not toerhs. Constructive comments work better then plain nastiness. Stop being inconsiderate and if you do not like it that much, don't post.

I thought this would be about Iraq, Brdmn. If the battle is within, what's it over...alcoholism, violent urges, etc., or just the general evil potential within humans? And thanks, Nwb5, for your very cogent comments.
