You. (Free verse) by Sway
I walk down the old, beaten road, kickin' rocks around... Not even noticing the cars roll by. Thoughts of our dancing and sweet love-making flood my thoughts and make me cry. I waited for you to come with your best smirk on. Those eyes full of "I want you's" and "Can we's"....We would roll around in the grass like children, not knowing what the next second might bring..no worries. We took road trips to the end of the earth, not caring if we made it back home, as long as it was us. Like Bonnie and Clyde, stealin' for survival, and sometimes for fun, hair in the wind...on the run. So in love, now were done. So I sit back and drink my wine, listenin' to your songs. I tap my foot to the beat, as my heart takes over the drumfill. I imagine how your fingers would strum my strings, creating my melody, making me sing....

Up the ladder: Equality
Down the ladder: Last Ride
