Sinking (Ode) by flightoffancy
The blackness smacks me behind the eyeballs Unwelcome old friend Sucks the air from my body Leaves no joy to spend The dark stallion kneels beside me Against my will I mount Riding over the cliff, making peace with the devil Too many times to count

Up the ladder: Moving Out
Down the ladder: deviant conveniences
