knock (Free verse) by FreeFormFixation
if hesitation knocks at your door, lock it up and pull the blinds and wait for the wolves to clean off your porch, now, my dear, it's just about time. reel the line in, snag some weeds, scrape along the murky bottom wait for the fish to clump up with the leaves and wind them all up every autumn. and if hesitation knocks at the glass, pull the blinds and lock the bolts and wait for the wolves to snap up and grab soon, my dear, we'll sleep in the coal. if anger ever knocks at the ceiling pull back the bricks from the unused fireplace wait for her arms to strangle all feeling out of your limp form as you fall through space.
