Idle (Free verse) by MacFrantic
I fell asleep one day Awoke to find you there Long fingers exploring my face Brushing flecks of dust away I caught up tangled words Tripping over ways to express My displeasure to you But in silence remained Stilted thoughts carving Valleys in my head I thought Wondered as you pulled my shirt From my body Replacing it cleanly Wondered as you removed my pants And I could not look there Too soon you left to go Turning in haste from me And I could call I could say to swear To loving you But I didn't So you turned the sign to Sorry We're Closed Words that confuse me still In front of my frozen eyes

Up the ladder: rush hour
Down the ladder: Little Girl Sue

There's a song on the new Death Cab For Cutie album that this kind of reminds me of I think because of the simplicity and the signs...it's called "I will Follow You Into the Dark". This, I'm sorry tom say is not as good as that, but not a bad effort.
