Please Stay (Free verse) by pletcgm Itâs been a brief four months,
Four months I wish was a lifetime.
You gave me happiness,
Happiness I have never felt.
Knowing our time is slipping,
My mind is in a trance.
I have thought of nothing,
Nothing but you.
I have thought of the times,
The times we spent together.
All the times I looked at you,
And my heart fluttered.
Now, my heart is bleeding,
Bleeding a river of love.
Itâs bleeding to the surface,
All my feelings for you.
As the final day approaches,
I ask of you one last thing.
Will you make my heart flutter again?
Please stay

Okay. You're not rhyming. That's good. 'Bleeding a river of love' -- if it's flowing out and you're not going to love again, sure. 'Will you make my heart flutter' -- medically speaking, that's not a very good request.
