June (Free verse) by Muffinly
Small glimmering bodies of light Catch your attention More than the black mass behind That we all know too well I am no more than a beast I can hide But not from these problems And never from you So I lie I know that he loves me, and now that he knows You don't get what you wanted "I'm sorry" I say I lie "But don't the stars look nice tonight?"

Up the ladder: The sparrow
Down the ladder: A Mid-Saturday in June

Once again, you could probably say this in about half the lines and it's actually be more effective.
