Interstellar Planetary Escape Plan (Free verse) by drnick
When my mind and heart are hurting, I can let them be free, I can travel among the stardust, And experience antigravity, I can then be alone, In this surreal sort of high, To clear out my thoughts, In the midst of the night's sky, Hop onto a comet, Let everything go and just drive, I'll pass by your house, Just to show you I’m still alive, Travel through a nebula, And surf the waves of cosmic gas, Plop upon Pluto, Meet my goals and then surpass, I’m dancing through the heavens, Won’t you join me the next time? We can count the galaxies, And divide what's yours and what's mine.

Up the ladder: I Shall Fight
Down the ladder: A flightless deer

It would be more intriguing if it wasn't written like it just came out of "Where the Sidewalk Ends". *7*

I LOVE the last 4 lines! (Lines 5-8 have a good cadence/rythm, as do the last four lines)
