sprung (Free verse) by <~>
singing with the morning under my wings strung up like some love junkie coming down i loose last night's lament ready myself to spring alift on the wings of others, innocents, incoherent and lost in the sorrow of an uncaged regret i leave her there, in the undone past

Up the ladder: husk [hai-crete]
Down the ladder: Rails to Trails

"the sorrow of an uncaged regret" good line.
But to spring aloft on the wings of others with uncaged regrets seems counter to your theme, though quite poetic.
