Afraid of the dark. (Free verse) by darby pyn
sweaty palms bleed disease turning skin to soars and eye’s to shields unable to see past their own deception. permanent distractions pace themselves with your own contractions tighter with second ticks aborted in sentence. content , driven , defeated. just mindless motion. chasing the trail of smoke into the burning house. suffocating in your man made earn on the mantle in an empty home. no soul. no wide dreams to remember. only a narrow addiction floor to ceiling and wall to wall. can’t move, can’t breath, can’t live through the day so you sleep past the light. hide the sun in your vague memories of summer youth and all the life of a morning birth. your curse is yours for the changing. see the devil for who he is . deny him meat. starve his appetite.

Up the ladder: Inevitable
Down the ladder: Stardust

Good story. Now make it readable.
Could be that you're far ahead of your time, of course.

This poem sucks ass. it stutters, it slurs. vague hack writers piss me off.
stale malnourished weak shit thrown in every direction sticking to all
the unfortunate souls who’s eye’s are sacrificed for one wrong
turn. why me GOD. whhhyyyyy. WHO IS THIS FUCK.
oh......it’s me.
I have to quit drinking.
