Ambition (Free verse) by Billy Fights
I caught myself today The secrets planned in subconscious Things I never worried about Pressed first and foremost Ambition, I get it now I knew I was sick But this is pathetic Too late I am aware of my own trap The clever cunning I crafted Somehow without meaning to Or at least knowing before hand Ambition, I get it now I knew I was sick But this is pathetic Accidents like this don't happen Too many details in the designs Tricked into outwitting myself By new dreams of old faces Ambition, I get it now I knew I was sick But this is pathetic My inspiration and my motivation Is born by the want of you Forbidden fruit once tasted Ambition, I get it now

Up the ladder: Mental Escape
Down the ladder: In Ethel’s Honor

No very well put together, not clear, chiches, and the repetition doesn't help.
