The Ususal Love Stuff (Free verse) by Dreammaker1024
With you I’m real, with you I’m nervous, with you I’m better, I’ m me. Your presence is a caress on my hearts string, playing the sweetest melody known unto my musically inclined soul. In a life constantly changing you’ve been that one force that has been the same unto me, a feeling force of passion that has never dulled in time. Love has never been a utterance that has escaped my lips with truth, but when conversing with my friends and I’m asked if my feelings are real, if their true, I can only help but tell them how much I’m beyond a doubt in love with you. With me your real, with me your a mystery, with me your my own. Through time you’ve been an elusive prize that I can’t seem to win. Over the years you’ve chosen everyone but me, looking everywhere, loving everyone. I can’t help but stay, praying down on bended knee and through parted lips that one day you’d realize that your search can be concluded with me. At night when everyone has fallen into their dreams, I’m lying in the dark imagining the day when you could fall for me in truth. I’ve tasted the sweetness of us and now I can’t envision not having that sweetness touch my heart once more. Together we’re a story of many pains, and happy moments of where they always out weigh my moments of sadness. I can’t imagine a pair more distinct and more involved. We argue continuously yet that's a welcome disagreement that always ends in a passion that could never be taken away from my soul. My love abounds all moments of insecurity that I might feel when I think of our disagreements and your past and present relationships. I’m stuck in you and can’t seem to move away from this bond that we share, that keeps me locked into your warmth. I crave for your hugs, I crave for you, my one deadly sin that I can’t seem to repent for, to let go of but as long as your true to yourself I will not move from the embrace that you hold on my life.

Strange how the usual love stuff is so unusual and new.

Just try to say it with a lot less words.

This is prose, and while wordy, you touch on good points of introspection. -7-
