Two Years (Free verse) by berdabear
I hear little footsteps across my kitchen floor Early morning chatter not yet sure how to say what plagues him every day "I lud you mommy" This much is clear Enough to fill my heart with cheer with each little footstep I hear.

Up the ladder: Ago
Down the ladder: it's okay to cry, idiot

I can feel the echoes of your love in the words you have written. Thank you for sharing them.
