wishes (Free verse) by the_poetess the cockaigne dream feels cold and empty
like a stale chocolate bar
at 2:00 in the morning
it just dissaponts me
reality isn't a dark chocolate truffle
I wish it was because
my acedia is overwhelming
how long can the world stay
a small quivering mouse
all shades of gray
and how long must I wait
for the peacock to show me his colorful feathers
on NBC television
it's always the same old pabulum isn't it,
always safe,
always sane
but I'm yearning for something crazy and dangerous
why can't I jump off the bridge
without drowning
why can't I run through the street
without getting hit by a car
who understands that somebody somewhere
just realized that this is their last
moment on earth
just realized that they are going to die
tears well in their eyes as they desperatley
think it's not fair
and it isn't
but what does that matter

I know what you mean. I want something crazy to happen. That's way when I get the chance I go eggbomb my school. That is so much fucken fun and it's even better when my friends come with me. We fuck my school up.

its truly sad how most live in the box our society has created, personaly im waiting for the news flash that all will change we will be shed of the elite control that seeks to conform us at every corner.. so sad, but hope holds strong for many, we will be free and our lives will once again be ours to live, freely without restraint, or repression, find a feild and run, do what ever empowers you, what ever rekindles that spark. and above all...Step away from the chocolates no hope of flyin with searching for happiness in a truffle box!

As for the robots, like hell! free will must be honored for thos whom choose to find comfort in the box, sad but true. And have you really acomplished anything in live if you have never put forth the effort?

I am not incompetent thank you very much!. Yes my English is by far not up to par, for that i have , and do apologize. My grammer is even worse, AS for a teacher... ummm ive been out of school for 12 years, i do plan to go back once my babies are alittle older. But i assure you i am not incompetent, just lacking alot of schooling.. and before you go jumping the gun saying im a drop out, i was signed out of grade 9 when i was kicked out of my house!. It really shocks me that some of you people can be so quick to judge, so quick to assume you are all knowing. It is truly pathetic!

You have just admitted to incompetence as a writer. Can you not see this? I never asked for your sordid family history. Please keep the details of your life to yourself, until you get to the Jerry Springer stage. Then let them fly like your shoes. Mr. Hot Shot is out to lunch. Would you like to leave a message?
P.S. In order to learn how to speak and write a language, one need not attend school.

Second of all I gave you a few facts as to why my spelling and grammer is so far off, admitted, apologized and mearly shed some light on the subject. Third off, yes i am young in some's eyes. Interesting comment to write on "this poor woman's comment page." I suppose irony is a foreign concept. then you go on to apologize to those who have had to read all this crap, while posting MORE CRAP. Beautiful stuff.

I am sorry, yes i know my English is horrid. Rest assured i do plan to go back to school, Once my children are alittle older, Until then i work with what i have. Forgive my mistakes.

I've read everything you've written up to date, and found two things. A) You need to use spell check. I tend to overlook a typo here or there(I mean come on they happen) but for the love of Buddha, save us the eyes strain. B) You can't be out of high school yet, are you? Your writting has the arrogant tone of someone who thinks they are a genius, but is still being taught. I'm guessing that you tend to read the materials during class, but fail to do the homework more often than not.
This is by far the most poetic (and best)thing you've written to date. -8- <3 Jason

interesting BUddha reference and especially the hw part, you are right i dont think i am a genius at least i dont think i do, but if you associate my arrogance with my sophmoric schooling, then i can remain confident that it will pass, this one was the most natural poem by far, in means of how it came out, and sometimes i speak but not as if I am myself, which may account for some arrogance in general i think my issue is that i feel like everybody everywhere is suffering but im not and its not fair to them and why arent i doing more for society; i have yet to find my balance give me time -emili
You may and its more like I'm much more practiced in typos and idealism writer/reader. I'm Buddhist. I've made similar typos, and I'm a semi-arrogant person.

I don't think anybody gets you. I've read the comments and see you as much younger, but like me, healthy, smart and bored. Jumping off a bridge and can't even drown. So what can I tell you except to find somepalce to feel needed and keep plugging away at this; it has potential.
