note to a fundamentalist christian (Free verse) by i_am_the_popsicle
my head is spinning you are one of the best people that i know and yet you still nod your head when that man in the front of the room tells you to pray, of all things, for the rest of the world, to accept Him into their hearts can you honestly think that all of those people are doomed to damnation just because they whisper a different name when they are admitting their wrongs in the dead of night you talk of a kind and a loving God how is giving into that clean pure feeling of spirituality a sin if it is not done your way how is accepting that who Is believed to be the ultimate creator into your heart a sin if it is not done your way surely there are evil and sinful temptations out their but is believing really one of them don't tell me all the bad things you have done just because you've swept it into the corner doesnt erase that you sent soldiers on wars of hate to kill the innocent and they admittedly walked in rivers of blood up to their ankles but that doesnt make you bad does it? you say that you know but you dont know anything at all and that is just it we are all in the dark here, feeling around grabbing onto what ever we find, that seems to give us a purpose any true believer of any faith is doing nothing but putting faith in that feeling that clean pure spiritual feeling that gives us all strenght in the face of adversity i am sorry but i Cannot believe that 1/3 of the world is doomed to a life in hell, if hell is absense from the presence of God and if you think that that puts me on the list of those who are going to suffer with satan then so be it, i'm not a devil worshipper by any means but i have never met Lucifer, and maybe he isnt the source of all evil, maybe he just believed differently white isn't my color anyway and it doesnt matter who opened that box of evil, I know that there has to be more than one right
