Starless (Free verse) by MacFrantic
Half in and half out of shadows Like everything sinister But nothing quite certain Artful pain of the darkest light Feeds my hunger Drags my sable soul Admixed moon! Pitiless eyes above me! For what is this? This torture I am received? Oh! Oh! It is long until morning yet

As I've made no secret, I'm not a big fan of modern poetry that sounds like it was written 200 years ago. Still, it's not too bad so I'll vote 6.

Note-200 years ago, I'd have given it an 8.

And 200 years ago, I'd have not been born to see you do so.
