Lufituaeb (Ode) by Phaiyne
Like the coffee-brown in my eye
My skin is hued of shy
And the sun braided in my hair
Reflects the beauty inside
The length of my legs
Could not run the distance of my rareness
Nor could my slim figure
Compete with my spiritâs fairness
The arch of my back
Will never support my love
For it is heavier than this heart of gold
And thicker than kin-love blood
The tilt of my breasts
Can be smaller than self-hate
But the balance of my shoulders
Comes from self-loveâs weight
My features will never amount
To what God put in my heart
Because I know with no ego at all
That I am work of living art
You can tint my eye blank
Or shade my skin bland
But this soul will forever lush
In Godâs working hands
