season #3 (Free verse) by oneglove
The snap of a twig
And here we are
Itâs all more brittle now
Greens turn to brown
But for a moment a pause
In intermediate hues
The sepia tone saturates
The orange overflows
Savor these moments of color
Signals flying overhead
Warn of frigid air conquest
Distant flames battle the march
And side by side
Autumn air fills our lungs
Crisp as the leaves we tread
Reflecting on warmer days
Awaiting our winter hibernation
A transition
Summerâs last breath
Is accompanied by soft conversation
Nothing is rushed
Though the world is dying
Our love is still in bloom
We still have many seasons in the sunlight
