Get in Line (Free verse) by MacFrantic
Hi, my name is A-173 For a dollar I can be richer But in debt I will cease to exist Pity my relativity Because I am next in line Just as the fools behind me And just as well off in front I am not yet certain That this queue is a circle Ending only where it begins Yet We never move So the sun doesn't either Unless we direct it With conversation And anyone can leave At any time they feel Though the velvet rope boundaries are discouraging If the line were to end If the boundary was broken I would not know where to go So take a number

Up the ladder: Sadness
Down the ladder: A HANGMAN'S MOANING
