Whenever Forever Is (Free verse) by Enkidu
Champions of unemployment resting On sidewalks and Under city stars Traffic light loiterers A swan of little grace Dodging the RTD as it approaches Drinking in the sunlit reflections Of an urban atmosphere Half a billion artists making Far too many memories And far too many mistakes and enemies Rationing glory like gasoline Snakes recede like shadows Donning peafowl feathers Smoking life out of harmony Balanced on their poison coils Celebrated morning at once unveils A martyr pondering coffee grind Shaming his inevitable fate to Witness the casual undoings of hereafter

Up the ladder: Cotopaxi Store, Colorado
Down the ladder: To You, My Son

This is good, but I think present tense would be better than dodging, drinking, ratioining, etc.
