5/22 (Free verse) by aburiedlife so here we begin the new exile
running away from things so good
they hurt
how can the end of a
love dream
leave us heartbroken?
and if phantoms can hurt us
when will we be healed?
when will we be whole?
when will we be satisfied?
i just don't know the answer
i just keep trying to keep my heart
from stopping
and hope that one of the winners
among all of the things at war
inside me
is my self
and that my self
can overpower my life
or at least
stop fighting

I don't get these people placing their own poems on their favorites list. You have a whole page of your own with all your poems listed there, all neat and tidy.
one of the better free-form pimples in a while.
